This is a test post for some code I’m writing to sync comments between FriendFeed and Disqus. Wish me luck!

    Superinteresting ! :)
  • Ok, so I've been able to import comments from Disqus-to-FF and export from FF-to-Disqus. Now, I just need to figure out how to get this to work when not running in localhost (darn XHR cross-domain issues...)
  • I like comment syncing. I also like that we're using the same wordpress theme. :)
  • Thanks Erica! I love this theme. Cross your fingers on the syncing :)

    another one? :)
  • This is a test comment - Let's see if it syncs!
  • Superinteresting ! :)
  • Host it somewhere please in a blank page for eg. I'd like to work on this and use it for... you know what :)
  • Oh yeah! It's not hosted anywhere yet, it's 100% JavaScript that I'm just running locally. I'll pop it up somewhere when I'm done.
  • I guessed that part, I actually wonder where can I find the form in the screenshot... excuse me, I didn't found it yet :(
  • Well..... it's fairly straightforward. There are API calls to read/write comments for both FF and Disqus. The hard part in the timing: how to notice a post in either system and cross-post rapidly. I don't pretend to have that solved, it will probably just be a batch process.
  • Tell me Carter, I'm actually lost, how is it supposed to sync?
  • Thanks! I need comments tied to blog posts whose comments are being served by Disqus. Hence this specific FF entry. :)
  • here's another?
  • I think I'll stroke my ego by commenting on my own post. Oh yeah!
