Alive and Twitching

As most of you know, I’ve been unemployed since the 11th. Do the math, and I’m fast approaching 2 weeks of sleeping in. Which, of course, still makes me a neophyte compared to my buddy The Defender. I have much to learn from this sensei.

Which I’m sure makes it all the more surprising that I haven’t updated my blog. But, to be honest, I’ve been busier than most of you know. Between wrangling with my previous employers, studying for the GMAT, registering my car in DC and generally getting my life in order, I’ve been pretty busy.

I should report that my cram-fest for the GMAT paid off. I took it this past Friday and got a 710. What does a 710 mean? It means that if I hadn’t slept through Senior year in college and burned all of my professional bridges, I might have actually had a shot of going to a top-10 school.

Side note: I saw the new Bond flick. Here’s some advice: Spend Eight Dollars Another Way.

Changes

November 19th will be my last day working at Proteus Inc. I’ve had a good run there, and I’ll be leaving behind some good people. I’m not sure what’s in store for me. Sometimes changes happen in bunches. Do I want to stay in D.C.? Do I want to stay in web development? Do I want to go to school? I don’t know the answers to these questions, and hopefully I won’t have to for a little while. I need a breather to reflect on things before I decide what’s next.

Of course, change affects us all. If I’m tucked away in your address book somewhere, please update my email address to:

addendum: my last day has now become November 11th. I can no longer check my old email address.
